It seemes to me that you are mostly talking about the events, feelings and taking "sides".
It can be understood.
But this a startpoint for conflicts.
Just concentrate on the quality of the photos.
Be sure, its friendly advice.

I just felt that I ran empty of ideas
My doughter was pushing me to go further also... It is all her fault !only joke !!!!
Monochrome ? mhhh.... maybe
Time to get started with b&w as well
In my schooldays I had only B&W negatives, and lab in my bathroom....should go back and forth with that as well without moving into bathroom
Thanks !

I tried soft light leyer with 50% opacity too (Stefan once gave that idea)
but here the gradient adds a lot ! It was missing
Thatswhy I posted the original.
Any good croping variants ? I cant decide any more. (too sleepy)
Btw, I cant see (understand) difference in softlight mode and overlay mode (GIMP)
Quite the same result for my eye.
Still it disturbes me, that I have to PProcess.
the second
ok. that wasnt exactly what I ment
At least it gave me a good laugh !

But what I like about the first is the way the building reflects. (your angle of view)
the reflections are as if creating new windows into the building !
The second pic only proves that the first is good not just thanks to good architecture.(=not every pic taken of good architecture is good) Result also depends on how you take the pic. Fist- excellent. Second- has no efect.
I wonder if anyone understands at all, what I ment
