Actually - the dunce's hat is still appropriate I am a very slow learner and get frustrated when I can't achieve the results I want .

Mine is the result of browsing some pop-art for inspiration and playing with the half tone screen settings in photoshop.
Its from a picture I took of a pear with mottled and marked skin that I thought would look awsome as a black and white picture but ended up duller than dishwater, so I photochopped it up, and coloured it in and then stuck on a star burst background.

As previously mentioned, and no doubt long fogotten, my own avatar is me. Shot by friend and glamour photographer Paul Jones - www.pauljones.org - and conveying a sense of mystery....if anyone cares to look at it that way.
Being wrapped in shadows does help to hide the unwanted details though....

Mine is not me either, but a photo of my first dog, Keri, long since departed this mortal coil.
Having bitten me for the second time with no provocation, and with two young children to consider, he went straight to the vets.
I loved him loads, but I loved my children more.

I respect that descision. There are millions of unwanted animals accross this country, that are getting a death sentece for the crime of being unwanted. Good dogs get destroyed or simply die of injuries, starvation or other causes associated with neglect or abandonment. No reasonable person can justify keeping a vicious dog, especially where it may interact with other people in society... Sadly many people with vicious or dangerous dogs fail to grasp that logic.

Mine is a shot of me taken (by my dad with his MX) about 20 years ago whilst sailing of the coast of Yugoslavia.
I've alway liked the castaway look.
Now I think I look more like the old school photos of me than my Avatar.
