Well here's the story behind mine.....I was being entertained at a boxing evening with my wife. I went to the bar to get us both a drink, and I came back after about 10 minutes without any drinks but with this photograph instead. The boxers weren't the only ones who got shiners that night ....

As for mine, no it has nothing to do with the Village People, I had got the helmet from the visitor centre at Lava Beds National Monument in CA, and spent the afternoon exploring lava tubes with a shooting buddy. We were down there for many hours crawling through cracks, banging our heads on the cave roof, and cursing our fading torches / mobile phones which provided the only light
