Wireless trigger for studio lights

Don't confuse Infrared with the near infrared that some flash guns use for autofocus assistance. They are essentially small flashguns that emit IR which is invisible to the human eye. It is impossible for a wireless trigger to harm your camera.

after ordering my triggers managed to get a work around today. Flash on hotshoe in manual mode, minimum power, pointing straight up at cieling. No pre flash andsynchs perfectly with the stusio lights

In manual mode what shutter speed are you attaining ? mine will only work at 1/90th .

But you beat me to it.
I point one of my AF500s at the ceiling, on 1/16 power. It always works, and the light it produces is a mere fraction of what is coming out of the Bowens.

Was synching no problems at 1/180th. Could not try any faster as even in manual mode as the flash was on it would not let me go faster.

The max sync speed of the camera is 180th. I think Tim is referring to his radio triggers.

The RF-602 wireless trigger only works reliably at 1/90th. Sometimes you get a black band at the bottom of the pic at 1/125th. Good unit though because it can also be used to fire the shutter from up to 100M away.

are the 'RF-602' a bit crap then ?? my RF triggers work fine at 1/180 !!
