Time to say goodbye

Hello all, Just to let you know the problems i have had with my camera are still not resolved, So its time to say good bye, I have bought a canon 50d, Just ant to say the pentax k10d i owned was a fantastic camera and then the jump to the gx20 , however its samsung thats let me down, not the physical camera. Its not the pentax brand or samsung brand thats at fault its the level of service i have recieved from samsung that has made my choice for me. i wish you all the very best in the future and will still hover around every so often. Id like to thank you all for your help and support, Even george lol

Sorry to hear this Carl, from what I've heard Samsung aftersales seemed better than Pentax, anyway good luck with the Canon, you know you can pick up an adaptor and still use your K mounts

Any reasons to go with the 50D instead of what many say to be the better 40D?

They have stated they cant replace the camera, they offered me a samsung nx10, so the canon came up at a good price so took the plunge, just have to start again now, but will definatley be buying the 17-70 again lol

the main factor was cost, i picked it up for £599 with a £65 rebate so all in all excellent value, that was my mane reason cost, i looked at the k7 sadly it just didnt feel right in my hands, and again they cost a bit more, but probably would of saved in the long term due to the additional cost of canon lenses etc. I will only buy new from now on lenses that is, as the warranty is deffo worth it

Thanks for the kind words, I know the canon isnt going to make me any better a photographer , i have to say the pentax build quality is truly remarkable, just the k7 didnt feel right, cant go to samsung again, but thats just down to them not physically ahveing a gx20 to replace it with, and i cant find a new k20d anywhere, sadly

well i called play and asked them to confim that the cashback offer applies to them, as they operate in gurnsey, But no one called me back , so next morning got up at 7, checked play.com and it was still £549, then went to vets with the cat, got home at 9:00am looked again and it had shot up to £769, I called play, all they could say it was out of there controll, not even an apology or explanation to why no 1 called me back, and even better still none the wiser about the cashback offer.its there fault as i was waiting for confermation from them about the offer,

So yes its from amazon £599 but with a £65 cashback
needles to say will never use play.com ever again
