I was surprised
A explanation should be given when ever a topic is closed, by the said person and for what reason.
Edit: Added..

I think we need an explanation for that one. I do hope that this is not a place where Pentax cannot be criticised? That would be very worrying.

Forums are moderated, which involves judgement calls. Locked threads have an explanation appended to them at the bottom in a box labelled "Locked Reason"
Best regards, John

Sorry John, but I don't think that explanation is good enough. There was lots more to be said there. I would reitterate that I hope this is a forum of free speech and not one where nothing bad can be said against Pentax.
Please could you elaborate on the decision and the explanation. Thanks.

Certainly. As you can see, there's only room in the box for the briefest of comments! Please could you elaborate on the decision and the explanation. Thanks.
It was turning into an argument between individuals, so I stopped it to allow the feelings to calm down.
It still all there to read, so you don't need to worry that anything was censored. Not by me anyway.
If there's anything anyone wants to add, just start a new thread and let's keep it all on a less tense level.
Best regards, John

I'm with you on that guys.
Would hate for someone else to decide when my topics have been 'fully explored'.
Even though we don't always agree, I do hold John Riley and the other moderators in the greatest of respect. I do fully understand that judgement calls have to be made, but doing it on this thread just seems to be plain wrong.
There really does need to be a proper explanation for this one I'm afraid, because as it is, it just stinks.

Thanks John
I understand and accept that. I think that the reason given should have been a little more accurate, and that might have caused less concern.

Seriously,
I haven't written anything wrong, or anything offensive, to absolutely ANYBODY
This forum SHOULD have freedom of speech, and I cannot accept for 'Moderators' to close posts that are perfectly acceptable and not offensive to anybody.
I'D RATHER BE REMOVED FROM THIS FORUM, THAN NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTINUE AN OPEN DISCUSSION WITH OTHER FORUM MEMBERS.
Awaiting explanations.

Now now Nathan, its not good to complain, we just have to get used to what the situation dictates or the ones who pull the strings decide, isn't that ironic? , we were exactly discussing (and I stress only discussing and not arguing ) about complaints, albeit regarding CS and this is a slightly different aspect, but still topic is "complaint"
