PENTAX do manufacture lenses for spectacles and someone has to buy them. I've had my two pairs for almost 4 years and they are always falling out of my shirt pocket. I've never had a single scratch on them.

They are mentioned a lot on the following site which is a highly reputable consumer site. Probably No. 1 in the UK. They have never denied that they own the rights even though they have Official Company Representatives posting on the site. One employee has over 5,000 posts. i was in bristol today and asked the Q there had they seen a pentax rep and the awnser is no
it is probably the same through out the world
it would be intresting to know if chris at srs ever has them in on a saturday all day out there talking to customers

We all know that Chris has special Pentax days and weekends, with full support from Pentax. He tells us about them at regular intervals!

Hello folks.
Over here in Canada there seems to be hope. Most of the the bigger shops have Pentax signs, little stands and related marketing items. The selection isn't the greatest, most lenses targeted for entry level consumers, but all the lenses are available. For camera bodies, most of the stores still carry the k52, K3 and K32, a couple of stores have the 645z to play with
The prices seem to be the highest here compared to other countries.
Ask any staff person about Pentax...? One in fifty might know a thing or two.
The used market is getting lean, seems that people are hanging onto their gear..
My two cents

Most professional wedding photographers offer medium format; in which cases Mamiya and Hasselblad considerably dominate the market. Yet given the cost of such hardware; covering a wedding with a medium format camera the cost typically is 2k minimum.I have only ever seen one digital medium format camera in the wild and it was a Pentax!
Outside of medium format almost all wedding work on a professional level is done with full-frame. One could usually tell if it's a "part time weekend professional" if they would be using a non full-frame sensor.
Of course there are off the beaten path places to get married; such as the Caribbean or (worse) Las Vegas. Las Vegas typically only allows unionized photographers with sub-par results. Throughout the Caribbean one typically is not legally allowed to professionally photograph a wedding if not a resident (places such as Jamaica). Almost all of the so called wedding professionals in places like Jamaica rarely use full-frame
