I don't know to be honest, but I think everyone likes a good mystery and the internet is the perfect medium for propagating rumours.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say it will be underwhelming.

There is only one thing this can be. An umbrealla which fits into your flash socket to allow you to take photographs in the rain without getting your hair wet.

Unless you shoot in portrait mode!

Or a windscreen wiper that extends over the front of your lens.

Aside from good marketing, a product needs to fill a need for the consumer to truly be a hit.

Seriously, as this guy seems to have something to do with previous 'macro' gear for photography, would it be so far fetched to say that it would be a new form of Bellows that makes use of the various functions of the k-5 and k-7.
I would not know anyone that has a fully auto bellows.
The thing that gets me is the statement that "...DSLRs will never be the same...".
Its either something to do with optics or with the grip connection in my humble opinion.
A grip that connects to the computer but gives you full functionality (including pan and tilt as well as every other feature)?
Still, as he previously worked in the macro field I would put my bet on that side.
Something to do with macro or any other way of manipulating the lens between the lens and the camera?
It's like shooting in the dark when you do not see or hear anything.

I thought maybe, just maybe, the guy gutted a printer, and used the rails and stepper motors to make a omputer controlled bellows that would allow micro focussing steps that could be blended in post for incredible dof in macro shots, but then the caption would need be "macro photography will never be the same"
