Same body only launch price as the K-S1. Nice. Looks like Ricoh/Pentax may be getting a more realistic grasp on the market. Body + lens is £50 more than K-S1 but I'd expect that for a new lens.RRP:

I found the USA pricing soon after my post. The UK prices aren't too bad I suppose...particularly as these are the launch prices. They'll probably knock £20-£30 off for Easter. Not sure that the new 18-50 kit lens will hold a £100 price though..I would have thought its more likely to be just £70-£80 on top of the body before long as it looks a bit light and fragile.
Dilemma..Do you get a K-S2 for £549 body only or (until end of Feb) get a K-3 (with any old, photo-related trade-in at SRS) for just £50 more!
If you are going to go with the kit lens options , then it really is a straight choice if you buy from SRS
K-S2 with new kit lens for £650 or K-3 with current kit lens for the same price (allowing for trade in and current £80 offer!!
This pricing 'clash' only seems to make sense if there is a new K-3II virtually ready to go, to command a £800-£900 price point. When the offers on the K-3 expire at end of Feb and end of March price will probably go back up to about £700 body only...but they won't get any more than that and this will have to carry them until Oct/Nov when FF comes in...very risky.
Hopefully there might be some interviews with senior management this week to get a clearer idea of what they are planning as it looks a bit confusing at the moment.

Great points in the k-3 comparison.
I'd be tempted to go k-3 at this stage, as bar the AA filter less setup the rest of the spec looks very similar to the k-50.

Wish people would read the spec sheet before doing a video, or maybe read the writing on the lens as well!
There is an adorama version however which is worse, not for it's inaccuracies but it's just painful to watch!

Now the dilemma starts !!
The KS-2 with the flippy looks just the ticket for low level macro, no selfies here as that would be just too painfull
Question is, do I move my K5II on and have a kit bag of a K3 and KS-2 or just add a KS-2 to the shelf in the hope the banker doesn't notice
and yes, the wee flash will be coming home with me as soon as it is available, a small AW flash is a P masterpiece.
