Pentax K-5 Autofocus System
Actually Jacobs are taking preorders for the K-5 body only at £999 which is less than I paid for my K-7 when it first came out.
"When is payment taken from my account?
Authorisation and debit is obtained on every order placed, even if the stock requires ordering."
Means you'll be paying for the thing weeks before you have it in hand. I'd rather keep my money mine until the goods are shipped, so will wait to see how other retailers shake out...
1) some interesting expeditions with my current equipments
2) K-5 (+ to spend more and more money for accessories like 10'' external LCD monitor or a better viewfinder for my bad eyes + video and macro brackets + Stereo MIC and accessories) and I would sit at home ...
3) a new Sigma 8-16 + a new Metz 58 AF-2 (with 12mm zoom) + accesories
and I would sit at home ...
4) to sell some my equipments ...
+ I bought DA* 300/4 ...

Their internal and customer communication is non existent. I placed an order of over £1000 with them on a Tuesday with express (1-2 days) postage and confirmed they had stock. They immediately took the money out of my account but when the lens had not arrived by Friday, I phoned them. It took them twenty minutes to tell me they simply had not got round to sending it out. I cancelled the order. Guess what I got on Monday.
By that time I had already bought locally as I needed the lens for the Sunday.
Proper 5 raspberry service.
Suppose they have to fill the menu up with something!...I'm afraid I live in the past and treat my camera like my old slr!.....not being very good on the technical side ,I have great difficulty working all the available settings! ,I just want a camera that will produce good quality images.I'll stick with my K20 until I can do it justice!

Yup. The 200-400 @ £5k was out of my budget and that was why I ruled out Nikon.
