What contols are better on the K20D than the K10D? And which are better again on the K7D?
And what flaws are you talking about? Banding issues?

I'm betting it will be double the present K20D price.
Saying that I am still on the K10D and it looks just about what I have been looking for to be honest. I wanted better AF, more fps, decent live view and I wanted video so as long as the picture quality is up there I can see myself having one this side of xmas.

I suppose it depends greatly on your definition of gimmicks George, but the list is quite large:-Leaving aside the gimmicks, how is this an improvement over the K20D? Faster shutter speed and continuous shooting will be valuable for sports photographers, but is there much else?
G
3" VGA lcd with 4 times resolution of K20 with far better live view
HD Video, with AF unlike competitors
77 segment Exposure metering v 16 of K20D
Mag Alloy body
100% coverage VF
AF Assist lamp
HDMI out
Higher capacity battery
Automatic horizon adjust via SR
Distortion and chromatic aberration correction for DA and DFA lenses
built in HDR
Electronic level indicator
etc.etc.
It is a very well specced camera, and I know a lot of those features are of no use for some people, or seen before in other brands of camera, but to get them all, in a Pentax, is actual quite exciting!

Nah. SR always has had rotational compensation.Automatic horizon adjust via SR
However, the K7D adds an in-viewfinder and top-LCD indication of being level - a nice touch but not essential.

The menu structure seem to work more efficient and also does the direct FN buttons so more controls are more directly at hand. There are some usefull shooting modes added. Live-view seems to work better and should be more usefull on tripod work. These are all little things and I'm sure there would be more little things that might end up making the camera more efficient/streamed lined to use. What contols are better on the K20D than the K10D? Just asked which one they find better to handel the K10D or the K20D, it's the little things that makes life better.

Does 'Composition adjustment (Uses the SR system to reposition the sensor to fine-tune composition)' sound better?

I wondered if you would pick up on that one.Around 6:18, secondary focusing sensor???
If it means faster focus lock and AF.C is much more quicker than I am happy

I don't know... something that they use two sensors to focus with. What does that mean in laymen terms?

What I understand is that it improves the AF sensor by adjusting it under various light conditions... it leaves me a bit in the blue here.
Maybe they have on sensor to focus it roughly and one for more precies focus, maybe using two seperate techniques?

Sounds interesting... I stand corrected.Does 'Composition adjustment (Uses the SR system to reposition the sensor to fine-tune composition)' sound better?
But not for twice the money. Like many others, I'm waiting for the dust to settle and just getting on enjoying the K20D + DA*

Anyone here who knows if the K7D has the possibility to correct front/back focus problems. Like the k20D had ? I can't find anything about that.
And as they so specific mention the backwards compatibility with old Pentax glass,
how about the exposure problems with Non A lenses.(using stop down metering)
Those two I really like to see answered.
Martin.
