Are they retailing already in Japan? How much are they going for in Japan or Singapore? And if I could manage to get someone to bring me one how would it work out with regard to warranty?
Hoping of course it is cheaper, much much cheaper than prices here in the UK

Something much higher than it should be to drive sales. So apparently the first USA retailer has it for preorder on their website at $1200 body only .. whats the betting on UK price?
With the D90 on Amazon.com for $965 - including the very decent Nikkor 18-105mm (ultrasonic motor) - that pricing is just nuts.

However, as regards pricing it is interesting that B&H have it arriving in July. . .just in time for the sales.
Still time for marketing sanity to materialise it would seem.

There is even an electronic spirit level in the viewfinder.
The sensor seems a modified K20D sensor with 4 data lines to support the higher datarate needed for shooting video.

www.pentaximaging.com must be swamped. It seems to be unable to cope with demand or the site is down for maintenance or update.

Leaving aside the gimmicks, how is this an improvement over the K20D? Faster shutter speed and continuous shooting will be valuable for sports photographers, but is there much else?
When I upgrade, it will probably be to the K20D, unless the price differential is very small.

George besides the obvious numbers I think it's a more mature K20D, most of his faults have been taking out and the camera seems more streamed lined to use and I think that's a major plus point over the K20D. Not that the K20D is bad, It's been said that the controls are better off the K20D over the K10D and I really like the controls of the K10D, so better over better seems a perfect upgrade from me.
The price is the deal braker for the K-7 at the moment it doesn't offer to much over the K20D to upgrade but I had the same feeling with the K10D to upgrade to a K20D but still most if not all users found it a great improvement. I've the K10D and it certainly looks like a better whole package then the K20D so lets wait what the price will be, since it isn't to differend from the K20D I don't think/hope it will be outrageous.

So apparently the first USA retailer has it for preorder on their website at $1200 body only .. whats the betting on UK price?
My guess is similar to Tel's between £1000 and £1100....
