if it is genuine it looks a bit basic with just AF or MF no CF function.

The sensor choice should be interesting. Given the release date and also the fact that 16mp sensors are no longer being produced??

Yeah flip out screen. Maybe touch? Touch to autofocus in live view would be cool! Style is cool. Looks like the KS-1 and K-3 had a baby. I approve. What is the lens?

Whatever it is I'm sure we'll hear the usual negative comments and complaints that it's not 'FF'

Thanks sledger. Its interesting, it looks cool and if it is compact-camera-collapsible then I see a lot of appeal for it as a kit lens for beginner DSLR shooters who don't want to feel intimidated by big lenses.

People will definitely complain it isn't FF but I have already seen question to whether Ricoh just didn't release this camera instead of the KS-1. I believe this will use the same 20.2MP sensor.

If there is a touch screen autofocus feature, I will be pre-ordering it and slapping my 18-35mm f1.8 on it for video and use my K-3 with 50-135mm for portraits etc.

Interesting...given the relative small size of it, my guess would be that this will be the K60/600 and intended as a replacement for the K50/500 probably with the 20MP sensor from the K-S1. It is pictured with the new 18-50 'compact' kit lens as well by the look of it. I'm guessing that the K-3 is intended to now 'drop down' the line-up to fill the space vacated by the K-5...given the huge price drop in such a relatively short time by this model. Only question is whether the new 'Top Dog' will be announced at CES also or whether they save this for about Easter time.

Probably K-70/K700 if they are to stick with the odd numeral formula. (K-30 -> K-50)

No top LCD so clearly the K50 replacement. Does look like a tilting LCD.

I'd have thought the K3 would be around until an autumn announcement for next year.

The long promised consumer tele zoom (135 to 380) to follow on from 18 135 WR DA perhaps?and possibly a start on brand/appearance replacing the Hoya branded star SDM telephotos?
