I am also on Opera 12 and have no problems on any other site. I was well aware that I hadn't updated to the latest version but have compelling reasons for not doing so. A change to PU has meant that I can't use the site as once I did, so I'll use a different browser in future; the other side of this is that because it's not readily in front of me I won't visit as often.

I will get used to the new look, as we will all have to, but i find the print is actually a chore to read as it doesn't stand out enough, that is the black text and the red text. Have just had my eyes tested and they're fine so any chance of that being sorted.
I know what i like, If not always why.

Works fine on chrome but background is far to bright to spend any time on it

Let's face it, the new site is causing many problems for many people. The old site wasn't a problem.
Why not bite the bullet and go back to what was working and work from there at improving it.
A lot of these problems were brought up when it was first trialed on here but nothing was done to change anything before launch. I understand it is difficult to please everybody all of the time but you have a lot of people getting cheesed off with it and you should listen!
For a lot of people the large white space needs changing, the text is not working, all sorts of issues with navigation on the site.
Basically the site is not working for lots of people.

Entirely agree, needless to say
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Believe me, when the old site was the new site there were a lot more complaints than there are now.

If a developer wants to produce a version of (say) a forum that only works well on a given browser version, then all they have to do is to say so. This was a common courtesy in the days when video displays were progressing from 640 x 480 VGA ("This site is best viewed at 800 x 600" was typical). OF course, in those days there was only Mosaic, until Netscape, Cello, and Nello came along (yes, I can remember that far back - quite easily).
Most people do not upgrade their software until they upgrade their hardware. They are happy with what they are familiar with, and if it suits what they want to do, they stay with it. I could go on about this at some length, but that would get away from the point that a lot of people (evidenced by the posts on this forum) are not pleased with some (or all) of the changes, and can see no point in them.

Seems fine to me, I'm quite happy with it.
Text is ok (a little darker would be nice but I have no problem reading it as is)
Most of the forums I use have had an update in the last 12 months or so and there were loads of complaints at the time but people get used to these things after a little time and the complaining goes away as they become more familiar with it.

Still having issues on my IPad, where I select a thumbnail but am presented with a different shot i.e I just selected "three stones" but was presented with my shot titles "green moat"
Also when view threads in the forum the right hand side of the text is covered by advertising

There are ACRES of wasted space all around EVERYTHING, and especially on the LHS & RHS of browser pages expanded to fill the full screen of my external 22" widescreen monitor - virtually HALF the page area is a blank "NOTHING".
And, and again, it's FAR TOO WHITE AND BRIGHT with difficult to read small and faint print on my main PC, the small laptop I take to work and on my tablet, so it's not a device/browser issue - please fix THIS if nothing else, otherwise, yes, I will probably be leaving because these pages are VERY PAINFUL on my ageing eyes
All this smacks VERY strongly of a redesign that was not adequately thought out and tested across a range of devices and viewing s/w
