The Gallery problem has been reported, so it should be sorted soon.

Seems to be working fine now. Lovely big image, too. Very nice.
Best wishes,

Andrew

I was aghast when I first opened it, thought I had gone onto the wrong forum. Now its growing on me very quickly. The quality of pictures, especially when viewed large, is far better than previously. Black type on a white background is by far the best way of reading text. Possibly it might be even better if the type was bold.

Congrats PU team, looks good and works well, Gallery images also seem much improved, (perhaps this will allow for better critique too which is a topic that comes around often), I would agree there is perhaps a little bit too much 'dead' space, but this can be combated by simply zooming out on your browser (CTRL and your mouse wheel).

The "back" button on my browser has ceased to function - it is only on PU, works fine everywhere else. Using Opera on Win7.

Same for me. It stopped working several days ago on the old PU, and still doesn't work with the new PU site.

Cheers.

The adverts on the right side of the page is covering up some of the text in the "Your Photos forum" which isn't ideal. Not sure if it's just on this particular desktop computer though.

This is likely to be caused by your browser being in 'compatability mode'. You need to turn this off. I take it your in IE8?

I'm getting the gallery defaulting to 16 pictures at a time... sometimes. Just looks odd with a lone image centred at the bottom!
Applying the filter for 20 makes it work.

Probably a coding leftover from the old site...

Thats correct. Some 'session' information will be hanging around for many users. Hitting Apply Filter will correct the problem and the gallery will look much much nicer.

I like the much more modern look - the forum was looking very out-dated before. The only thing I don't like is how narrow the posts are now. If this could be widened it would be better.

I'm liking it and it feels like home again. I agree the forums are a little narrow, but I'm even getting used to that.

all the bright white makes my eyes literally hurt. More off white or a very light grey might have been better.

I like it a lot. Clean, tidy and just the right amount of 'negative (white) space'. The old design was cluttered and so 'last century'.

Good update PU team.

PS: Just one glitch when composing a post, the 'Preview' button sends the browser to-the-top while your post preview is actually right at the foot of the page. Initially this is confusing.

I hope someone can address the issue with the "back" button not working - at least two of us are having problems and PU is the common denominator.

Having been out of the country for a couple of days - the new site was a bit of a shock this morning. Working in a world of websites constantly evolving to improve functionality, user experience, stickiness, sales and customer retention - perhaps my view is slightly different to most. Have to say I am yet to spot any improved functionality, many areas feel a bit sparse and to put it in terms we understand - seem to lack a focal point. If one of the main aims was to make the advertising more prominent - this looks to have been achieved.

On a personal note - I have a particular aversion to nav bars that have a right justified layout - we read left to right and it feels unnatural having to move to the right to start reading the options

All that said - judgement needs to be reserved for a period of time.

I've just tried the back and forward buttons and they are working fine in Chrome.
