New K-7 Specifications.

What Pentax needs are some of us in there and show them how it's done,

I don't think they need a Canon user telling them what to do though

Anyway according to The Pentax bloglink some of the specks for the K7 are not as stated and I'm not going down the road about Canon verses Pentax

OOH Mike, that's a bit strong, after all Terry's been a good contributor and supporter of this site and to Pentax. Don't you think he has a point, I know HoyaPentax as a large organization will not listen to the likes of you and me as individuals, but don't you think that's part of their problem,ignore faithful uses like us and we eventually go away and its their the loss, which is probably why Terry went over to the enemy, don't you think?

seems like you haven't grasped Mike and Terry's fantastic sense of humour , you should see what they sometimes are up to when they want to wind someone up . Got to give it to them, makes the forum much more lively.

Hmmm, now just thinking here is the AF.C locking really fast in the Canon 50D Tel?

This is the part that frustrates me actually with the K20D but I have learnt to live with it, or better without it . For example when I am trying to get shots of my little one and the moment he is running or walking towards me and I want to get a decent shot, there seems no way i can get one of him unless he is stationary. I am always running behind that fraction of a second late and the images come fuzzy.
Unless there is a trick you more experienced members use that I could use to get around this.

Amin it is difficult if they/him comming straight towards you a fast shutter speed(best you can get) or a little burst of fill flash should do it, see how you get on.

Ah well, enough of this .. Im off outside in the rain to take pictures.

That brought me straight down to earth, the word RAIN immediately made me realise how much I should cherish my lovely K20 LOL.

Tel, you can always borrow the wife's camera, she has got a pentax, doesn't she?

Tel, thanks for the tips, will put them into practice. I think there should be scope for ss increase definitely. Haven't done much of it but will dedicate some more time to it.

But Amin, Why should you have to put up with it? This is part of the whole HoyaPentax Problem! Just like when the British use to make cars! Good designs, good ideas - just rubbish, they would release their models and let the customers find out what the problems were! HoyaPentax is losing its way - Sadly.

Got to shoot over to Whittering Air Force base and sort a PC/B/Band connection out, so you will know about it first.

I definitely didn't want to stir any bad feelings about the K20 but as this happens to be discussed and any features aparently that could make it better, I remember reading about the D300 and when the fast focus lock mechanism was touted to be one of the best I must admit I got green with envy. Its one of those things that I really felt that it would be so great to have it incorporated or bettered I mean.

There was a review of the D300 which I can't find the site at the moment, by a photographer who did a test by having his black dog running at him from a distance and he snapped a few shots and he was amazed at how the focus locked on each of the sequences and the images were stunning.

Well, I better stop now, or else I might end up being told off
