The FPS increase for me will already make it a better camera than the K20d.
I got hold of a used Fuji S5 Pro the other week, and its 3FPS felt positively pedestrian compared to my D90/D300.
It's a small thing, and I know not everybody needs hi speed continuous shooting, but it makes the camera feel much more responsive. For action shots, it should be a help.

Improvement on AF speed and more FPS would be the only real gain for me.
So if it has a price tag in excess of £1000 I will be firmly sticking to the K20D for now.

Is that the special feature pentax was talking about
This also the first pro DSLR designed by HOYA right, the K20D was mostly a hardware upgrade.

I have to agree with you all. I dont like it's appearance and I think it's too similiar to the K20D in spec. I have little intrest in video so from a purist picture taking perspective it is'nt enough to warrant an upgrade...but then again I did'nt want to upgrade anyway (kinda glad i'm not envious of the newer model).
The one thing however I do like is the 5fps.
Ok...2 things: The Weather sealed kit lens. If it's available seperately I can see myself getting that!
