New 100mm macro + DIY flash diffuser
Stuart..
Best
The lighter, warmer evening are making it much easier to get out and photograph more
I'm still struggling a bit to get the focus correct. However, I'm now waiting for me new S-type focus screen from FocusingScreen which should help pin down the focus better.
Cracking shots.

Keep it up, macro is a fascinating area of photography which is quite difficult to master.

CHEERS Vic.
The inside is wrapped with tin foil and the end is covered with two layers of kitchen tissue. I'm still experimenting but the kitchen tissue seems to be working well.
It doesn't look like it will last very long but it's a fun experiment.

So for a bit of fun, I decided to make myself a DIY flash diffuser for my macro photos (sorry, don't have a photo yet, but I'll try and take one soon) for my old manual external flash.
Loving the 100mm macro, giving me that bit of extra distance between myself and the subject. Also, the diffuser seems to help, and also gives me some funny looks
Some snaps below. I'm surprised how many ladybirds over-wintered in my shed, so there's lots of them around at the moment.
