Well - we can cope with that .

It's the stuff that descends vertically , horizontally and diagonally, from both directions at the same time , that we don't want on Saturday.

Gwyn - didn't you say somewhere that you had an Optech neck strap ? I want to see one.

I have two Optech Pros. Nothing quite like them for me. I'm happy to let you carry my cameras around all day if you want to try them.

I have three different OpTech straps. One neck strap, an adapter strap to turn it into a BlackRapid type strap and a harness, which is probably my favourite. I'll be using the neck strap though on Saturday I suspect.

Have to start thinking of what to bring with me, equipment wise and clothes wise, as we leave on Thursday afternoon.

If you're on the ferry, bring the lot. Camera gear, not clothes.

I'm on the ferry, but I still have to lug it all in Glasgow!

We'll see what fits in the bag, and if I can still lift it .

I don't know if everybody has seen the thread about the current state of my sensor but at this stage it isn't clear whether the cleaning kit I ordered to sort it out will be here in time for me to get it cleaned before the weekend. If not I'm a bit conflicted about whether to come or not because it really isn't in a usable state, and none of the camera stores around here seem to sell the wet cleaning solution.

It did occur to me that somebody else coming along might have the necessary materials and I could do it on the day... I really don't like to ask but I would hate to miss the meet because of a dirty sensor, and I would of course pay in full for any materials used.

So if somebody can help and really, truly doesn't mind please let me know. If my cleaning kit arrives this week it will, of course, be unnecessary.

I can bring some along. But either way, don't let the lack of a camera stop you coming to the meet!

Thanks! Good to know I have an emergency fall-back if necessary. Even in a worst case scenario if my K-5 is useless I have a Samsung WB550 compact I can use. It's a fairly decent little camera.

Remember, you can live without a change of pants but you will need all your photo gear!

Although I am bringing my other half with me he refuses to act a Sherpa so I may have to leave something behind. Either the Bigma or 60-250 I fear. Not sure I can lug them both even is I leave all my pants behind .

Hmm. Bring your husband or your Bigma. The choice is clear!
