I like the composition, but I'm not so keen on the colour - it looks strangely artificial to me. Of course, you may have captured the light and colour exactly as they were on the day, but to me it just looks, well 'not right' somehow.
On the positive side, I like the detail on the rocks in the foreground, and the length of the exposure that you have chosen emphasises the route that the water is taking, which might not have been so clear with a shorter exposure.

I agree with swarf on all points there - lovely arrangement and foreground detail is great. The colour issues on the grass areas I think is the result of a contrast setting that is too high (see how the hill top disappears to near-black). I'd suggest trying on a duplicate layer, reducing contrast a bit, then just apply that reduction to the middle and upper zones, masking out the foreground parts which have good contrast).

I concur with Phil & Nigel that the colour looks slightly odd, but I don't dislike it.
There's some good, crisp detail here and the picture is nicely balanced (although I wouldn't mind an extra few millimetres of sky), but overall I find this a little less engaging than the first two, simply because it's not as visually dramatic.

I think this is my least favourite of the three so far, but that's not to say it isn't good, I just prefer the other two. I think there is slightly too much land as Simon mentioned and also the colour balance does need sorting out, but basically it is a good image. I think you can (and often do) take better ones though Stan.

Nothing wrong with the photography, I think it's the scene that lets it down.

Perhaps if we could have seen more of the water and less of the land this might have worked better. The rocky foreground is a good base to the picture but the rather heavy colour of the fellside is heavy going.

I agree with all the comments and this image is now in the recycle bin. On the day the weather was typical Lake District so I took this just to fill time in.

This is a very pleasing image, well balanced in every sense of the word

Yes, very pleasing, its got a bit of everything! I think it could take a bit of shadow lifting, which would reveal colour and light on the nearer shorelines and give it a nice 'lift'.
Thanks Stan, another hard act to follow, but I'm looking forward to my turn with the baton

I think this is my favourite so far - a lovely composition and a great sense of tranquillity. I agree with Nigel that it might be even better with the shadows tweaked, but in its original form it's still lovely.

This is my favourite of them all.
There's sense of tranquillity here , the reflection in the water is really good, and your eye is really led to the distant sky seen through the gap in the hills/mountains .
Can it be 'lifted' slightly to get a bit more of the stones on the left hand side without spoiling the contrast everywhere else ?
