For me it's Muse, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Madness, Blink 182, The Beach Boys amongst others... oh and Matt Monro!
Yeah and you thought you had weird taste!
Sometimes I think I need some chill out music! (any suggestions?)

Lemonjelly! Sometimes I think I need some chill out music! (any suggestions?)
For me, I tend to forget to listen to stuff when I'm at the computer, but when I do it's Queens of the Stone Age, Desert Sessions, Muse, Eagles of Death Metal, Dandy Warhols, Elbow, Elbow and more Elbow.

For me the ultimate chill out is Pink Floyd's the division bell, although officium by Jan Garbarek is great if you like plain chant mixed with Jazz Sax for the more mainstream what about Elbow or Morcheeba .

Cheers for the suggestions guys...
Will check out Clannad, Elbow & Pure Moods. Pink Floyd, mmm not heard much of their stuff!
Songs for the Deaf & Lullabies to Paralyze, great albums Dan, forgot about them.
Always seem to forget what CD's I'm after AS SOON as I walk into the shops!

Went to see Kate Bush in concert at the Sunderland Empire. A most bizarre but enjoyable concert.

Listen to lots of classical (esp Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Haydn, love violin and piano concertos) but also an eclectic if aging range of other stuff including Dr John, Taj Mahal, Abdullah Ibrahim, Dave Brubeck, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello and Echo and the Bunnymen.
Next gig in a couple of weeks is one most people wouldn't own up to - John Lees' Barclay James Harvest at the Bloomsbury Theatre (to which most people who've sort of heard of them will add - "oh, isn't he dead?"....). There's no accounting for taste, but I'm happy with mine, even more so given that it irritates my 14 year old daughter no end! And having put up with what she likes, revenge is sweet....
