Now that was truly incredible! Nice find. My mind is still reeling, some quick mental estimates tells me thats one photo every half an hour for 3 flipping years! I can't imagine the patience required...

Very impressive,
He had it setup to take 80 frames during daylight hours and 5 frames through the night,
I might setup something like this on my neighbours yard and see how many times thay mow thier lawn, but I don't think 3 years will be long enough.

Would you set something like this up with the intervalometer thing? My one attempt to use that for some star trails ended with nothing at all happening and I haven't attempted it again. Wouldn't he have to change the settings every evening and morning? All without moving the camera? Talk about a PITA

If he used "Remote Assistant" - provided it works with the K100D, then it is easy enough to make those changes from the attached PC and to store the images directly on the PC.Would you set something like this up with the intervalometer thing? I have used interval shooting for a sunset and it worked fine - but without PC attached and I needed to change the memory card halfway through but managed that with no discernible movement!
