At least the sun is shining here cedricd, nipping out to try a couple of shots after the rain and hail.

I don't understand why you have to down shots in one. Surely you don't taste them.

For them of you up north, should the skies be clear, there is a good chance of aurora sightings tonight and tomorrow night.

Certainly those of you in Northumbria and Scotland stand a good chance.
There was a massive solar flare on Thursday and the aurora are due tonight and tomorrow night.
Low horizon activity expected for you.

Lucky old Bjørn, he gets them overhead!

Why is it that when the 'solar' flares we get rain?!!

Second Lighthouse in the glass and spag boll on the stove...

....we can't afford a curry tonight, might make up for it tomorrow with a chilli...

...and the spell check wants to replace 'rain' with 'reign'!
Cheers, HG

Here in the far East, yes, we have had some sun today! Plus wind and reign too!

Hope for a tad more sun on the morrow. Found an exciting little spot last weekend and we are going back there, sun permitting. Batteries are on charge, second beaker of G & M is about to follow tea and Monty Don is getting over enthused about a few cultivated weeds. Now please someone take us back to pointless.
Enjoy life

It's been showery here all day. Very welcome rain actually. We have been on Code Red for fire danger for weeks now.

Summer still scheduled for Sunday .

Woo hoo - I've had a bad day in work but followed by my windscreen being repaired 'gratis' - watched Scarlets win with my son whilst eating the curry I prepared last night and drinking 'Old Crafty Hen'
