Summer is due here next Sunday. Just the one day, 21C predicted. Better break out the barbie. Or not. I'll believe it when I feel it.

Sorry to disappoint Gwyn but the promised 21C is only inside and you need to put the heating on

Last night it almost felt 'not cold'. I wouldn't go so far as 'warm' but winter may be coming to an end!

Just been up the garden, thermometer showing a balmy 2°C with a light wind making it seem like -3°C. Nice cycling weather

I've taken to filling my spare jars with hot water so the lid vacuums on, and using them as bookends... Aah the student life

You could add a bit of phzazzz to this by adding food colouring to the water and lighting the jars with reading lights, or if you are gonna go Hippy trippy put some glitter in the jars too and light them with candles ... sorry I'll get me coat .. jeff... go down well in Lacluster as we used to call it ....

Or just grab some of your dad's old lenses, pull all but one of the elements out with pliers and fill them with jam.

They won't be any use for anything but your dad's reaction would be an interesting photograph.

I used to use (borrowed)scaffold planks wrapped in newspaper and separated by house bricks (also borrowed).

Come to think of it I never did return the planks and bricks

Joe and I collected a car full of big sticks for wittling-practice today... All of them once wittled down are covered in woodworm holes... Shame 'cos the one I'm working on is turning into a really nice walking stick and Joe's working on an 'Indian Smoking Pipe...

Now I don't want to frighten anyone but we may be due with a heatwave and get the temperature into double digits by the weekend.

I recommend hiding in the fridge to prevent the problems of hyperthermia!

The weather may be warm, but will it be dry?!!

The latest I saw was for 18 degrees and rain!

We'll be warm and wet then!
