Everyone in our house has a flu like virus

It seems to take about 3 days to turn from a cold to a worse state and then lingers - 5 days an no real improvement

At least the weather is crap so we are not missing much

That's my moan over - happy New Year for later

We've had something similar, although it had an unusual manifestation. When I had it is was man flu. When she got it it was the norovirus combined with the bubonic plague. I can only assume it had mutated!

Same in our household! Knew it would be bad when Reggie n Ronnie came for a visit armed with toilet roll and number 11 on the top lip. Two days later and all hell broke loose from the nasal passages downwards.

Sorry Andrew! Still suffering from the last vestiges of NV or whatever the inglorious No Hope Society is calling it this year!

Holiday booking season has arrived, Mrs Cedric has found a place called Machrihanish that looks interesting. Campbeltown looks better with two distilleries!!! We shall see.

That's a long hall Cedric, I'd look for stop overs with distilleries along the way

Barry, can soon do a couple of whiskey tours in Suffolk. Adnams have started distilling and after 3 years and a day it can be called whiskey. Plus there`s St Georges distillery somewhere over near the Narfolk border. Normally do Skye or Mull with an overnight drive and shared driving. Aha! breakfast in Fort William! Had to wait for Mac D`s last time as one of the spotty`s had turned over a stillage from the truck. Milk and eggs everywhere but they scooped most of it back up.

East Harling - A couple of miles from me, but we haven't ever been in

His Nibs has a head cold. Nothing more, but to hear him you'd think he was dying.

The grandkids came round this afternoon while their parents shopped for tonight's party. We aren't invited .
Just had a home made curry, and are wondering what to do until midnight. Only 3 and a half hours to go thank goodness.

Looks like I may be bored enough to play Angry Birds.

They do Gin as well!!!

This evening it'll be haggis and neeps, a wee 10 (now 11) year malt and bed.

Happy new year all.
Cheers, HG
