Fireworks are officially on sale today, and you can tell. Even though they are not allowed to be set off until after 10am on the 31st there are fireworks going off all around us.
Some €75million expected to go up in smoke this year. Madness.
I hate this time of year. I wish they would ban fireworks.

I like going to the observatory and watching the fireworks go off. The cat isn't a big fan though.

I enjoy organised firework displays, but the free-for-all chaos of NYE here is no fun.
The dog didn't used to be bothered by it all but as he gets older he seems to be getting more concerned about it. I think he has got worse the our other dog died tbh.

It's like Beirut here at the moment.
I think several farmers have had gas guns for Christmas and have set them up in the winter wheat fields. So we are treated to a daily barrage from all directions every few minutes. It stops when the rooks go to sleep - then the fireworks start - I blame the Chinese Alchemists, at least arrows and swords didn't go bang just before they killed you.
regards
Bernard

Hope you find the cap TT.
I am just enjoying a wonderful cup of espresso, made with coffee beans from Lidl. It cost me half what I normally pay, and the coffee is wonderful.
