I watched Celebrity Pointless yesterday and for some bizarre reason the 'sprouts' answer wasn't pointless - surely if anything in life is pointless it would be sprouts

I love sprouts too, and all other green leafy veggies.
That said we're not having sprouts this year .

Lucky you Gwyn.
The problem with sprouts is they seem obligatory with the turkey, meaning that they're 'traditional'
I much prefer them fresh off a stalk and cooked quickly anytime except December 25th.

Just wakened from a pleasant dream where a whole bunch of us went on an outing to the Channel Islands. John Riley, Gwyn and Davem were all there and it was only £2.50 on the ferry. Some of you photograph very odd things, somebody only photographed coat hooks on the backs of doors
I hope that I was photographing sensible things, like hooks on the front of doors. It would make a nice change. I love most veg just not sprouts
Spinach is a favourite, cabbage of most types (not the squeeky, pickled red stuff except on the odd occassion) Pak Choi, Chinese leaf etc etc are all regulars for us
Swiss chard is next on my list to try
Oh nearly forgot - if you took tomatoes, , lettuce, cucumber, onions, mushrooms, chillies, garlic and ginger out of our diet there would not be much left

Red cabbage is delicious, not pickled, but cooked with apples and spices, or in salads.
