Another pointless thread

Supermarkets here look like that Ken. Anyone would think they were going to be closed for a week, not 2 days. In fact one supermarket is open again Boxing Day afternoon .
I went to Lidl for some coffee (excellent Espresso beans at Lidl) and it was actually fairly quiet there, but another big supermarket looked packed as I walked past.

Finally got round to putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it. One of my least favourite tasks at Christmas tbh. Least favourite is taking it all down again.
We didn't bother last year as we were away for Christmas Day but this year we're home for Christmas day and go to son #2 for Boxing Day. They were all coming here but decided they'd rather host it. Fine by me, though I'll still be cooking as his wife doesn't cook.

I've just discovered, through browsing through an old photograph album, that the last time I had a direct line of sight to my feet was mid 1980.

Some things I ordered online finally arrived today, just in time for Christmas. Except they cocked up the order. They sent two of an item I ordered one of, and 1 of an item I didn't order at all, instead of the two of the item I did order.
No hope of getting it sorted before Christmas now.

I'll have to face the Sunday shopping frenzy tomorrow to try and find the things in the shops somewhere, but I have small hope of finding them.

I think he means citroen C5 not sinclair C5 on another pointless topic I've just finished the best book I've read for years Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell,
one of those books that just suck you in and the rest of your life goes on hold .. I just heard it has been made into a movie... oh well.... I will watch it but I on the whole prefer books cos' the special effects are better ...jeff..

..and faster than them to the rubbish tip!

Just back from a day shopping in York..

...it was deserted!!!

Seems the bad weather predictions and warnings of floods had put people off. Good for me though as I managed to find something for Mrs HG..

With Some of the electrics/electronics sometimes you could be forgiven for wondering if parts of it are a Sinclair

I'd love a go in a Sinclair c5 - anyone got one I could play with ::
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

4.55am and I just got in from a crazy shift at work (Theatre transformed into a rave)... Brought back a couple of 'Goose Island 312' (pale ale meets wheat beer) and one of Bradfords finest curries... MMM-TASTY!!

Just wakened from a pleasant dream where a whole bunch of us went on an outing to the Channel Islands. John Riley, Gwyn and Davem were all there and it was only £2.50 on the ferry. Some of you photograph very odd things, somebody only photographed coat hooks on the backs of doors

Have you left sufficient time to ensure they are thoroughly cooked
