Algi - I'm glad you understood Transit's post. I though he'd been at the tea or something.

So, just when we were all complaining about the weather in the UK (and the Netherlands) it looks like the East Coast of the States is about to experience something we can hardly imagine.

I remember being in Cuba shortly after Hurricane Katrina and seeing the devastation that caused, but there is a possibility that this could be far worse. It might be about to hit a large storm heading southwards which could bring feet of snow.

Let's hope it isn't a worse-case scenario.

I pointed out the dangers of Sandy on the 26th!

Edit - could be worse we could be expecting Sandy to arrive any time soon, along with spring tides and Arctic blasts making floods and snow possible. Sounds delightful. Friends of ours are "doing" the East Coast at the moment, so I hope they will be OK.
Lots of dead in the Caribbean. Lets hope there aren't any more added in the US. Some people there are taking it seriously, others, after last years threat from Irene, are not. A few I know have moved out of NYC, others are just stocking up on food, water and batteries, and hoping to sing it out. They've all done the washing and washing up just in case the power drops out. In an apartment of course no power also means no water.

Beer? What's that?

Oh I remember - one of the main topics of pointlessness.

It was only a couple of minutes ago, you have to give him time to recover from the shock!

Only another 99 to go
