Another pointless thread

There are no actual animals in Edinburgh Zoo. There are lots of cages with signs telling you what was meant to be in there, but no matter how long and hard you look you will never see anything.

The pandas are keepers in costumes and the painted hunting dogs are probably just dogs which were vandalised!

The Koalas are really stuffed toys that only move in the breeze.

Did you ask them to do that or have they broken in?

Had my first mini-skid on the motorcycle this morning. Three seconds of thinking I was going to crash. Really need to learn how to corner properly!

No they were asked. I thought they would demolish it, but it's being dismantled methodically.

Panic there. I read mini skirt.

With motorcycles the first thing you need to learn is, how to fall off properly.

You are wrong with that assumption and the 645D went on getting her there.

If it's inevitable your going to fall off Gareth, get off..

...don't hang on to the bike let it go at the last second.

Surprisingly you do less damage to yourself and the bike.

The last accident I had I couldn't get off which resulted in a crushed foot and dislocated thumb...

...at only 15MPH!!!

Another thing to do is get some lessons and listen to the instructors, they do know what they're on about.

Down hill to Beerday night...

It's actually really hard to find training. Everything in Edinburgh is geared around CBT or getting you through the test. If you ask about one-on-one or hourly/weekly lessons nobody is interested.

There is a really good place in Fife called Pro-Scot. I did my CBT with them and they genuinely want you to be trained-to-ride rather than trained-to-get-through-the-test.

I think a lot of it is actually because I've been driving modern, powerful cars for so long. I now find I'm having to slow down for roundabouts, but I wonder if I'm actually going at the correct speed and just think I'm going too slowly.

At least I can now move off in traffic without skipping along the ground!

I see Hamilton has switched to Mercedes so I'll switch my allegiance to Di Resta.

Do Fiat not give you keys then.

I don't think they have keys. After all, nobody's going to steal one!
