Headline in today's paper: July was cool and wet.
I trust they checked their source before making those bold statements

Yes they asked the KNMI - the Dutch Met office.

Komkommertijd (cucumber time) here so no news is news.

Let's hope August doesn't follow June and July, though, here at least, it's not looking great.

Interesting that last week, the one week of the Great Summer of Sport that there was no sport, we actually had summer.

July has been marginally better than June (at least as far as sunshine is concerned). May was the brightest month this year so far.

Won't it be rather confusing if it doesn't? All those calendars which will need reprinting etc. And we've only got 11 hours left to do it!

The calendar I have, a gift from Suffolk shows that June has 31 days, July 1st was a Friday and the 31st is on Sunday and the the 1st of August is on Wednesday when it should be The scenes are accurate.

Could be, maybe that's why they need it, to check the quality...

Well August is here and Edinburgh is looking festive. That is to say that half the roads in the city are closed, the buses are packed and you can't walk two steps without someone trying to push a flier into your hand!

Does the Park & Ride system work well during the Festival? I've been looking at using Sheriffhall.
