I'm pretty sure the north of England will be underwater today. I hope the surgeon has got his flippers on!

And it's supposed to be heading to our side of the country too

When I lived in South Lanarkshire in the summer of 2007 there was torrential rain every single day from April to October. And I am not exaggerating - it was as bad as rain gets for at least 4-5 hours a day.
The problem is that the gulf stream is not where we would like it to be which is why we have cold, wet weather and the US has sweltering heat.

Just spent 10 minutes in the gents, stood at the hand dryer in my boxers and socks drying my trousers... Looked like I'd wet myself when I got into work!!
Got a few funny looks but managed to convice those who entered that I'm only slightly mental...
Moral is... Waterproof trousers for the school-run tomorrow...

Normal service resumed. Everything on the inside looks fine apart from the slightly blown highlights on the four snaps they gave me, but I blame the Olympus gear they were using. She did say it's much better than Pentax (more expensive too) and the tube is more flexible. Wonder if I should scan them in and post them on ephotozine in the macro section
