Give me a break, Georges. You know I'm French. By the way, did you notice I spelled your name in French.

Ah! the French. Long may they be reminded of Agincourt. The Germans do have humour. It`s different to what the rest of the world value as humour. How many remember the BMW Isetta?

Actually, the Isetta was Italian. It was made by BMW, but it was still an Italian design.

Could never expect Herman to have a design which was fun. Just look at the current productions. Bet they wish they had a designer on board with humour now. (It`s all a bit tongue in cheek stuff, no offence)we just need some humour.

The Messerschmitt was German and even dafter than the Isetta.

I should be watching the Mentalist now, (I know, I know:blush but as is typical of Dutch commercial TV they have gone back to the middle of last season, without telling us. Drives me mad when they do that.

back from outside. There are occasionally good reasons to live here... like the sun going down at 10 pm and it's only the beginning of May

Going to get my summer tyres bolted on tomorrow.

Gwyn saw one last weekend it was on the Ipswich to Felixstowe old vehicle run. Was there also a Heinkel?

Really! They are still around?

Yes there was also a Heinkel - more like the Isetta in shape. A proper bubble car.

seem plenty of Messerschmitts in the UK but not as many Isettas , though my sister-in-law had one of those many many moons ago - nasty little thing it was according to my husband

Friends of my parents had a Heinkel, a friend of my brother had an Isetta, and a friend of mine had a Messerschmitt.
All nasty things imho, but they were cheap and meant people could get around.

When I was really young my parents had a Reliant Regency van like this. In those days some roads had grass growing up the middle - always exciting in a three wheeler .

I remember a very long delay on the way home from school years ago. There had been an accident between a bus and a lorry. When they separated the two, they found a bubble car flattened between them.
