Another pointless thread

A cyber friend died yesterday.
I never met her in person, only knew her from another forum, yet I feel as sad as if I had known her personally. She was a kind and gentle person, who always knew how to say the right thing.
Her daughter joined the other forum to let all her forum friends know the sad sad news.
Cyberspace in wonderful isn't it, connecting so many people you would never otherwise know, and allowing us to connect with people all around the world who share our likes and hobbies.

My condolences Gwyn - I agree it is wonderful and just as much a loss if not more because you will never know as much about them as perhaps a "real" person that you see regularly or knew personally.
Thanks Stan - mine`s every year so far and the next target is 67
Just enjoying the new Rufus Wainwright album I bought for Jo and watching the weather deteriorate outside.
A nice Beaujolais tonight HG methinks with a BBQ chicken and some salads.
Anyone contemplating a break in Derbyshire and wanting luxury please check out the Losehill House Hotel - best we have experienced for many a long year - food, quality, service, location.***** plus - highly recommended.
Still got a pile of surveys/forums to plough through so bye for now
Tony ( 66 and 1 day )

Very similar to what Tony Hancock said in the Radio Ham - but he descibed it as friends all around the world, but none locally.Cyberspace in wonderful isn't it, connecting so many people you would never otherwise know, and allowing us to connect with people all around the world who share our likes and hobbies.

24 hours without a post in this thread. Methinks the goths are to blame.
Sorry for your loss Gwyn.

The sun is shining, it's going to be 20C today and it's a holiday !
Unbelievable .
Normal weather service will be resumed tomorrow, but the sun gods seem to be shining on the Dutch and their royal family today.

The lucky folk who have seen that yellow stuff Wish we could.
Yet another grey day here - seems to have had lots of rain overnight and the ground is still wet - though no puddles.

Lovely here TT - sorry - slight breeze and a few clouds otherwise lots of yellow - at least the garden looks lush.
14 degrees on the thermomomometer which is nice - just a few surveys to catch up on then out for a troll in the garden ( if I can find one )no sign of the new tit family I`m afraid - must have found a better house !!
