Tony, have a good time and good luck with the metal detector, remember any big finds and I am the self appointed receiver of wrecks for Cornwall.

As for the beachcaster, I have spent many a long night on the beach in the past, never caught anything other than a cold.

I tell a lie, one night my mate and myself found ourselves surrounded by about five or six young ladies that were going in for a skinny dip, sorry but I don’t remember what bate we were using. Maybe worth keeping the K20 close at hand.

Take care.

Blimey - that sounds interesting ! I think the munchkins and the medication will keep me away from any "trouble".
I was hoping for mackerel but I can cook anything !!

Like my golf,it is all in the taking part rather than the eventual outcome so no worries about treasure.

My hero - Bert Weedon - 91 - RIP

A sad day for guitar lovers, though tbh I thought he'd gone years ago .

He's been on Tv in the last few years.

I still have "Play in a Day", still can't.

He never allowed for tone deaf people with fingers like popeye, but he did inspire me to try, to the extent I joined the guitar "club" at school were we were "taught" classical guitar. Luckily BW came along and the tempo changed

I too have Play up in the loft - I had 3 groups then found folk at college then went busking in pubs with a Canadian Red Indian girl and forgot the chords !!!!!
Lots of fun - the Fender Country is still up there along with my autoharp and an old cheap Spanish - all ready for Chloe and Saffy.

Been to have my bone density scan today - apparently very good for my age and condition - must be the red wine !!!!

Good news on the bone scan Tony.

His Nibs is self taught, but he is still an admirer of Bert.

His Fender, Gibson and Martin, plus a very beat up old Hofner are still in daily use. My Fender bass gather dust .

It's a while since we had a pointless, rambling topic. One where people could say anything, as long as it's not too serious!

The last one went on for 7 pages, so here it is.

I've just stacked 2 tons of wood in our wood shed.
...mmm, but are those 'metric' tons!? I need to know!

We need to be specific!...not really...

Nice to see some 'rambling' amusement.

Sounds like we have the makings of a good retro pop group here !!

HG can do background on the wine/beer bottles and I`m sure someone here could blow their own trumpet ??

The PUFs in concert at the O2 ??

Maybe not- we`d never agree on music !!

Becareful who you are calling PUFs

Sorry I won't be able to join you at the O2, my guitar is acoustic. I had a 12 string but I forgot to loosen off the strings when it went into storage in the loft. Result a folded guitar, probably due to damp (despite the case) and temperature changes.

Just been sent this on email :-
