No - they can't say when the bite happened - it could have been before he went in. Though I would have known if he'd been in a fight. He is not a fighter. Can't wait to see him again and see for myself that he is OK.Does the kennel not take some responsibility?

At least they mailed us to tell us which was something, didn't leave it as a nasty shock for when we return.
That bike wouldn't have lasted a day in Amsterdam .
I finally used the video function on the K-5 yesterday. A student band came on board to travel to Bergen and they gave a concert up on deck. Great! Now all I have to do is figure out what to do with the video I made.

Diet broken
The diet followed me having been declared a boderline tubby as some of you will have noticed by my moaning I have had the planned last weekend of the six nations gluttony as a treat - back to the diet next week
Didn't start well this morning with a hangover though - my fault
I was given two suspension bikes in non usable state - after a few hours of hangover hindered work - both now working as they should and both given away to grateful recipients - good karma I hope
Then just to prove my better half (Jo) is just brilliant here's my diet busting list mainly supplied by Jo
1. fish finger butties
2. Six nations grand slam (not provided by my missus of course)
3. half time bacon hock butties preceded by a bovril
4. 4 Brains SA Gold
5. Veg n ham/bacon stew made in the water used for boiling the hocks
6. Slow roasted lamb shoulder - Welsh lamb of course just to celebrate - good job it went well on the pitch
7. Oh and did I mention the rugby
Now it's several pints of water before the drinking begins again

Tantallon is one of my favorite places. I've just never yet managed to get the shot I want of it. Hope you have better luck.

I thought the castle itself was a bit disappointing, mainly a high flat wall with some window holes but once inside there are some great views of Bass Rock. I'm sure a photographer would get some great shots with the right weather etc. I was lucky enough to get back to the car just before the heavens opened cedricd wrote:

Remember, if you can't see Bass Rock from Tantallon it means it's raining and if you can see it, it means it's going to rain.

I think that is what appeals. The fact that it is a defensive wall. I've always wanted to get pictures with brooding clouds, but it is invariably grey. greynolds999 wrote:

I need the right weather and the right tide for the shot I have in my mind. I'll get it one day.

And no doubt I will be visiting Tantallon again in the near future (it's just down the road from seton sands or a bit further up than berwick) I'd like to see some images done by others just for inspiration
I found the view of the castle from the road including bass rock is marred by the shop at tantallon, would have been better built of stone and blended in

My goodness Tony - you didn't think the prospective tenants were happy and it looked as if they were rejecting your premises.
