Just had pheasant for our evening meal, cooked slowly with cider and sliced red onions, Fantastic.

What I can't understand is how come we couldn't get pheasants in season when the fields are over run with them!!
Cheers, HG

So my dad just phoned me 5 mins ago .. he is 76 and has been after a 10" tablet for a while. Anyway, he heard on the radio today that because of the Ipad 3 being released very soon there is likely to be a glut of Ipad 2's on Ebay so could I keep an eye out and if I see one for a good price then buy it and he will give me the money.

No problem says I ... how much do you want to spend?

After a few moments thought he replied ... oh about £100, no more.

Bought my 85 year old father in law an original iPad when the "2" came out...WARNING...he is now surgically attached. He absolutely loves it and finds it a doodle to use.

You tube is a revelation...he finds stuff from way back when and laughs his head off. Best present ever...didn't tell him how much it cost.

I'm sriously thinking of an iPad 2 [ because of the new one ] but still have some very pertinent questions about it for my use

There's a lot of head scratching going on - cos I just don't know enough to answer my own questions

Ha! Ha! A picture never lies but it seems that reporters do

"By the time he stopped the vehicle, about seven miles west of Castle Douglas, the load was well alight."

The road sign on the picture says Four Miles!

I would tend to agree that driving a car whilst lifting a paving stone is not recommended.

Well done Barrie

You are far further on than the lady across the road from me - but then she did break her ankle and the blasted pins have slipped so she's still on crutches

Nice one Barrie, but why would you want to lift paving slabs or marble tops?

I've discovered an excellent way of doing those type of things...

... It's called 'get a man in'.

After all why hurt yourself and suffer when somebody else can do it for you?

(PS, it doesn't work for heart attacks though!)
