Barrie - snag is that's a Yank Site - the big question is did YOUR docs say that too ?

I do hope so - 'cos if so I propose to abide by that prescription
As I say, I kid you not. I had the results of a blood test a couple of weeks ago when my cholesterol was 3.1. the conversation went..
me "that's good then"
doctor "apart from you have too much bad cholesterol"
me " what can I do about that then"
doctor "alcohol"
me "pardon"
doctor " 14 to 16 units a week has been shown to help to balance good and bad cholesterol"

I had blood taken yesterday and I'm back Thursday for the results so I'll let you know if it has worked

BMW MOT'd, taxed and insured, now it's of to a North Yorkshire pub for a few nights.

Not on the bike though, the boss said " I did the Arctic circle 28 years ago that's enough, now I want comfort"

I'm not arguing, she's driving...

We went on to the Viking Ship museum
Is that the one opposite the Kon Tiki?

Bernard
No, that is the Norwegian Maritime museum. The Viking Ships are next to the open air museum.

We are now in Ålesund, the sun is shining and it is beautiful. If the weather Gods remain kind there is a good chance of the aurora over the next few days. Sadly the forecast is for cloud, fog and worse.

When I say the weather is beautiful it is actually horrible for taking photographs, but you can't have everything can you?

A good job you aren't in Norway Barrie - that prescription would bankrupt you!!

Not all that marvellous here Gwyn - my new cancer tablets are not allowed by the government health watchdogs as they only give 3/4 months extra "life" for prostate sufferers so I get mine on private health insurance .................£3000 per MONTH - 4 per day !!!

They better work !!!

All very quiet here. I assume we are in the midweek lull with no beer or rugby to talk about.

Still at least the weather's still nice in Edinburgh. For about the next 20 minutes!
