Still dry! Cloudy today but no rain they say, which is good as we can save a few Krone by walking to the boat rather than getting a taxi this afternoon.

Just got to think of something to do between 12 midday checkout and 3pm check in.

Glad Mrs HG is feeling better.

Have you been to Frogner Park?

The Vigeland sculptures are superb and suitable subjects to photograpf in all conditions.

Yes we slipped and slid our way there on Thursday, started in fog and then had bright sun. We went on to the Viking Ship museum and the open air museum. Didn't have time for the Fram or Kon Tiki though.

We are now in Bergen, waiting to board the boat this afternoon. We have seen just about all we want to, and can see here, except maybe the aquarium. A lot of stuff is still closed for the winter sadly.

Ops

I'd forgotten you'd moved to Bergen.

The only thing I remember about there, apart from rain was the only Yamaha bike dealer for something like 600Km.

There was a nice little cafe overlooking the harbour, but where it is I forget, all I remember is 3 steps and a nice dry room with hot coffee and cake. It was 25 years ago.

Is that the one opposite the Kon Tiki?

If it is, is it still as cold inside? .
Went there some years back - minus 20 outside, apparently plus 4 inside but it felt much much colder inside than out brrrrrrh

Rant

Having felt relieved having the washing machine heating water again and working as it should and having the dishwasher spring back to life with a bit of persuasion I though that we had done well - then

I got home tonight and the freezer is knackered - no time for mucking about - straight in the car to currys - part with the card - back home with the new one within an hour - at least we will have frozen food still

Everytime I consider a major photographic purchase something stops working

Rant over - I think

I don't drink in the week but I feel an exception coming on tonight

The docs says that a drink is good for you then they give you pills that specifically say no alcohol to be taken.

Barrie - snag is that's a Yank Site - the big question is did YOUR docs say that too ?

I do hope so - 'cos if so I propose to abide by that prescription
