That's very cynical George.
The old Sigma lenses were superb for those misty out of focus shots of wistfull young ladies gazing into the distance.
Where as today's examples give resolution so sharp you can cut steak with them.

But when I look at the snaps I took then, without my glasses, on they don't look too bad and the images still invoke memories of happy holidays. IIRC I mainly took (well that is what I got back from pronto print et al) slides and am just starting to go through them now, must try the projector as well

Hard to believe I gave away a Pentax to a neighbours son to play with when I got the Zenit (bought as a present, so I was expected to use it and to be honest my snaps were simply snaps). Now find old Pentaxs are worth a few bob and old Zenits are likely to be thrown at you.
