Why do 99% of women hate ironing ?

I don't hate it. It does give a certain satisfaction seeing it all done, but it is nice not to have to do it for a few weeks.

But most men don't do ironing. Even in equal opportunity households where they both work/cook/clean/look after the kids, it is still the woman that does the ironing.

When I was single with shirts I only ever did collar, cuffs, front, of course in those days we wore suits and tie with the jacket fastened so most of the shirt remained unseen.
A friend of mine got caught in the rain when he had a white shirt and red tie on, when he came into the pub we thought he had been shot in the chest

What' 'ironing'?

Hangover gone, now I can start drinking again.

Just finished work and got in in time for the second half of this afternoon's rugby..

...now where's that bottle opener?

Just been checking when I can get my F1 fix, looks like the poisonous ecleston has sold out to murdoch.

Highlights only of the first few races on the Beeb, bu**er!

Details here

I refuse to get a satellite subscription to fund having adverts placed on my screen, that and the aussie ***** has far too much influence in the media world, not to mention money...

Ah back to the bad old days. At least they aren't only giving you five minute snippets when the cricket is on too, like the Beeb used to.

Did I read that Martin Brundle has left the team too?

I'm hoping Dutch TV are still going to show it in full, even if I have to put up with appalling commentary and split screen ad breaks.

I noticed this morning a rose and rhododendrons in bloom but no daffodils yet and heard and saw a woodpecker for the first time in my life. I didn't know we had them in round here.

I`m with you HG - I`ve been a fan since my dad used to take me to Aintree and Oulton Park - we talked to the drivers and sat in the cars in those days !!!

No BBC coverage so I shall treat it like smoking - I give up - SKY are parasites in my book and like Tesco want to dominate the world.

Their loss

I enjoy the range of programmes on Sky. I don't subscribe to Sports or the Movies ( the movies usually filter down to the other channels anyway and I wont pay for an early viewing of tosh like "war horse" "avatar" etc., and there are too many celebs it sport rather that sportsmen ). Yes it's a pity it costs so much to subscribe but its only a tank of petrol a month. Or the cost of a good 2nd hand prime lens a year

I`m not sure how big your "tank" is my friend but mine costs £80 !!

I`m with Virgin and get a landline,an XL V+ package with free HD and 20 mb broadband ( soon to be 60mb for no extra ) for £54 on average depending on how often Jo rings her sister in Canada.
We get all the good stuff - Discovery,History,Nat Geo,Bio,ESPN,Eurosport etc etc.
I have never seen anything yet on SKY that was worth paying for and we get about 12 of the channels included in the package.
I think my main disappointment is with the Beeb at how they rolled over so easily - what next ?? Wimbledon ? The FA CUP ? The Grand National ?
