I am supposed to be painting a room. I looked out the window this morning and the sun was shining so I took my camera and new lens and headed of to get some photos. Well two hours later, not a single photo.
So I headed home, went with the dog, checked life online and still haven't touched a paintbrush.

weather here has been a bit strange too .
Damp , plenty of rain overnight , but high winds - nearly lost the Freelander's door when I was parking her
Can't remember gales being forecast

Sounds very nice Tony - any left overs???
Just had a phone call from my youngest. He relies on temping jobs to earn a crust since journalists are not in any great demand.
He has just had a bill from the dentist, and since in a recession temps are the first to go he hasn't had much work lately, so could I lend him (ha!) the money to pay the bill please. So I am now €500 poorer and he is a perfect set of teeth richer. I just hope after neglecting them for years he now will maintain them.
I've told him it's a good job he had them done this year because we won't have that sort of money twiddling it's thumbs next year.

Isn't it wonderful when we still have to help them out Gwyn
Do we ever lose them ?
Oh well - I suppose this is what families are about - thinking back to my trip for the wedding of the year last week

Hope you have a good time Dave, we looked at B&Bs in Norfolk, the prices are, shall I say, interesting!
It's a place I've never been and at the prices they charge it's going to be a long time before I do go, still...
...I think we're going to North Yorkshire for a short break at the start of March.
A pub we know is offering a good price on accomodation, all we need is some good friends to agree and off we go.

Our usual price in the van on a campsite is £10-15 per night including electric and quite often showers. That means we can afford a b&b every now and again If I was returning to east anglia for a visit I'd time it for the cheap caravan holidays in the Sun. Trust me there are worse jobs than checking fecal samples on a card.
