Well said Sir Hi Barrie, just to wish you and your wife all the best. Hopefully by the time you are both sorted the sun will be shining and the days getting longer.
Hi Barrie - I'm glad Margaret's op went ok and hopefully soon you will also be sorted out

Thanks for the best wishes guys but I do hope it's sorted out quicker than the time it takes for the sun to shine in England.

The wonderful Royal Mail, not.
I ordered some goods on line, had confirmation from vendor that the order had been received and was being picked/packed, later in the day received notification that goods had been despatched, via Royal Mail, together with a trace and track reference number.
This morning I went on to the Royal Mail trace and track page, entered the reference number. This is the message which came up -
“Parcels Can Only Be Tracked After Delivery Has Been Completed”. :
Take care.

I sent a parcel on Jan 18th by Recorded Delivery and it is still showing something similar, "Item ... is being progressed through our network for delivery." I'm pretty sure the parcel made it OK as the person receiving it has left relevant feedback on eBay!
So much for track and trace.

Royal Mail eh?
They couldn't deliver a package on Monday so I went to collect it last night.
The card said a signature was required.
No.
They could have left it in my 'safe place' but van drivers can't be ar.. bothered.
My normal foot slogger postie seldom takes anything back, leaving signed for stuff with my neighbour (a good friend) and normal stuff in the safe place.

Keep your chins up Barrie - we`re thinking of you up here in Wirral - best wishes to you and Margaret.
"My normal foot slogger postie seldom takes anything back, leaving signed for stuff with my neighbour (a good friend) and normal stuff in the safe place."
Sounds like my old postie HG - until they fiddled with the system and I haven`t seen him since September - deliveries now about 2-00pm most days instead of 11-00am and wrong mail a regular occurance - pathetic - and they have the cheek to increase the cost of postage !!!!!

Barrie, that`s not an ordinary plan. It`s a cunning plan - more cunning than that of a cunning Fox. Good luck and make sure you are the right way round on the table.
