I'm not spending any money on funerals. As a friend of mine says "You don't see many dead bodies lying around, do you?"

Oh and Happy Christmas Techno-Terminator!
From what I understand "the only way is up" it would seem.

I'm not familiar with the character but I'm sure Cruise will make a decent job of it.

As for miscasting, Sean Bean didn't do half bad changing Richard Sharpe from a dark haired Cockney into a fair haired Yorkshireman.

It may be challenging, in a vertical sort of way.

"Reacher is a giant, standing at 6' 5" tall (1.96m) with a 50-inch chest, and weighing between 210 and 250 pounds"

Jack Reacher is 6'5 and 250 lbs. Cruise is 5'7 (or so he claims - I think he's shorter). He can't act his way out of a paper bag, and is totally wrong for the part. Even if I was a TC fan (can you guess I'm not:wink I would think he was wrong for the part.

Someone like Ray Stevenson would have been much better.

So Jack Reacher = Michael Barrymore for height and Russel Grant for weight

I wouldn't say 17 stone was heavy for a man of that height though. He is supposed to be big, muscled, and fit. More John Wayne at his prime than Tom Cruise past his.

I must admit I was baffled when I heard about the casting decision for Reacher..........."Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher???

Wrong in just so many ways."

What next ? Kevin Bacon as Barack O`Bama ?
Lady Gaga as Oprah Winfrey ?

RIP Eve Arnold

Also I noticed a trail for a new programme coming soon - David Bailey and "The Shrimp" - they were in Manhattan and I`m pretty certain he was using a Pentax - I could make out the AOC on the pentaprism housing - I will watch the programme and find out.
