The year in pancakes?
Sad to hear C.H. passed away. Difficult to bring up such a (wilfully, wonderfully) controversial figure on a 'no politics no religion' thread, but anyway - I agreed with the man so strongly on some stuff that I can forgive him the rest!

Hope so Les! And with a bit of luck she'll let you use her new camera as well. Will she let me play with it on Christmas Day?

It can't be any worse than laying carpet tiles and the boss coming in to say " That's about 1mm short, can you fill it?"
I kept quiet!

Myself and my better half disagreed on how the shower should be installed and as a result it took two years to be installed
Oh, how life is a learning curve
I am drinking now - it only took until 8.30pm to start but it is free beer obtained from work (legally I might add)

One of my son's old team leaders had a wife who worked in a local brewery. He would take cases of beer in to work for them.
My son, bless him wasn't old enough to drink at the time, but didn't think about his old dad!
Alas, the free beer has now stopped and we both could enjoy it now.
Still, it's nearly Christmas and the season to eat drink and be merry will start next Saturday.

I'm working 'till then 'spider, and I have to drive on Christmas day!
Watch the paths this morning, black ice across Bradford so I'd assume it's bad across West yorks.

Thanks guys - my Oncologist says he/we will know within 3 months - side effects seem to be limited to possible swollen ankles, odd blood pressure, dodgy heart rate, hot sweats - sounds like what I`ve got already - lol.
As long as my sense of humour isn`t affected I`ll be ok - back on my red wine ( medicinal ) again as the taste buds have returned at last.

Good luck with the tablets Tony. The only medication I got because I had surgery was viagara but they affected my vision, started seeing everything really bright with a bluish tinge, so stopped taking them.

Drink - did someone mention that wonderful liquid ?
Have got an overnight visitor - so we had a little Glenfiddich once he had arrived , then I made mushroom 'stroganoff ' using plenty of brandy and we then killed a bottle of Douro - and very nice it all was too
