He's from Planet Unison..

..despite appearances he's a decent bloke really.

Just had a call and my new car is ready for collection in the morning.

Grandson is happy again - his replacement camera arrived this morning. Truly impressive service from Amazon.
I was nervous about buying it from them in the first place, but now I am very glad I did.

New car collected today. Fiat Punto Evo, MyLife edition, very nice to drive and so full of technology she makes my old car look like something out of the Flintstones!

Stop Start technology is going to take some getting used to, so will the bint on the Bluetooth!

All in all very happy little bunny.
Cheers, HG

I know what you mean by technology in the new cars, I took delivery of a Peugeot 3008 crossover, last week, had to have a left foot accelerator adaptation fitted. It also has this engine stop/start system, and six speed auto gearbox. The thing that I am having trouble getting used to is the electronic hand brake, just don’t trust it yet.
Not going to touch or use any of the other electronics, when the clock needs resetting, it will be back to the garage. When I collected it, the salesman, said can I pair up your blue tooth mobile phone, and Ipod to the car, I said sorry but my phone is grey and silver, he didn’t ask again about the Ipod ?.

Take care, hope you enjoy your new car.

My other half has a C4 Picasso with the electronic brake thing.

Mightily impressed at it's use, but still put my hand down the side of the seat when parking...

... I make it look like I'm just taking the seat belt off!

I love electronic handbrakes on autos. In the Audi it makes life so easy.

However my other half has an A5 in manual with an electronic parking brake. It makes hill starts really tricky as there is very little feeling on the clutch, so you basically have to over-rev it before you lift the clutch (because as soon as there is forward momentum the brake disengages)! It really is crazy.

His Nibs is now back from Colombia.
He didn't take advantage of the cheaper prices for camera gear.

But he did buy me an emerald necklace .

Having driven a Prius for years we are well used to Bluetooth, keyless cars, stop-start etc. The first one was black and the kids thought it was like Knight Rider. Because we used the female voice it became Kitty though.
Lovely and easy to drive, being an automatic, but the second one could park itself. Generally it was quicker and easier to do it yourself, but it could do it.
The Auris has all the same technology, being hybrid too, but I just don't like the car as much. Still his nibs does and that is the main thing.

Funny thing about automatics is I used to hate them when we hired them in the US - I felt out of control of the car. But now I love them, and hope when the company car goes back and we have to buy a new car it will be an automatic.

I've got 15 showing. The one missing is black. I'd be more
bothered if it was white

Try and find a review of your monitor, they often tell you
what settings they used and sometimes you can even download
the profile and install it.

Since the background is also black it's not surprising you can't see the black square.
Even on the netbook I can see 15 distinct squares with the black one blending into the background
Neither computer screen is calibrated in any way.

But I'm imagining you don't have to deal with too many hills!

Automatics are just easier. I really find the A5 hard work, especially in traffic. Much easier with the A6. And you still have tiptronic if you really want to change gears yourself!
