Another pointless thread

His Nibs car uses Bluetooth, which is why he needed a new iPod. The Prius came with an iPod kit which gave full control of the iPod using the buttons on the steering wheel, which was great. The Bluetooth connecton doesn't offer much really. Sadly they don't make a iPod kit for the Auris.

Don't like the Auris as much as I liked the Prius, but it's better than the Kangoo - but then anything is better than a Kangoo .

The dog is going to the kennels for Christmas just so we don't have to go to Harlingen in the Kangoo.

I'm a glutten for punishment Gwyn.

When I got my Fiat punto back from it's MOT I was told, in no uncertain terms, that she wouldn't pass next year. So I looked around, drove a couple of cars, and ende up witha new Punto Evo.

You know what they say about the devil you know.

Well the new Punto is lightyears ahead of my old girl so I hope she lasts as long.

I've had my current car from new and she's 14 years old.
Cheers, HG

Nothing wrong with an old car or going for the newest version of it if you are happy with it.

He has a company car - we went for Prius because there was a tax break on it. When he needed to replace it he just said same again please. This time he wasn't allowed to spend that much (recession, price rises etc) so he went for an Auris Hybrid. It has a bigger engine than the Prius, but it is no where near as comfortable.

I got the Kangoo because I needed a car to carry two dogs around. It is 11 years old now, and has to last another year until we buy our "retirement" car. Which will probably be another Toyota .

I believe they do have an iPod kit for the Auris, and you can always install an aftermarket iPod kit, there are many available. That could be a nice Xmas present.

Our other car is a C4 Picasso, that replaced a Xsara Picasso which, as earlier posts on this thread said had just short of 100,000 miles on the clock. We felt that was a high enough mileage on a petrol engine to warrant a change after 7 years.

The new Cassy is a 110 BHP diesel and will have to do at least 10 years, hopefully she will.

I'll be sad to see Baby go, but the new Punto will be welcome.

All I have to do is name her...

Naming a car is not always easy

We've had Elspeth - a Renault 18 - [ oooh that was the fastest Renault 18 ever - had been a Fleet Engineer's car ] Why Elspeth - her Reg was LSP

Fido - a Rover

Susie - a Capri - Reg was SUS

The present one is Freda - Freda the Freelander [ was either Freda or Fred ] and the salesman referred to it as her - so she became Freda - and now if I phone to book her in even they call her Freda
let the education continue

Facewash comes with 'directions for use'. You would think that if someone is intelligent enough to read that they're intelligent enough to know how to use facewash...
