Cassowary attack! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jB2QFmXUCo&feature=player_embedded
Like most of these things, their dangerousness is probably a bit overexaggerated. They are said to be able to disembowel you with a flick of their claw... but there no record of this ever having happened. It's the aussie version of 'a swan can break a man's arm!' albeit they have to go one better

Good luck with it HG
I remember the re-fitting of mine - sorting out plumbing , sorting out wiring [ now that was fun ] some re-plastering , then the cooker didn't fit even though it should have done new cooker chosen then everything had to be fitted - then we did the flooring .
Oh man - I don't want to go through that again in a hurry .

This is all your fault TT.
When the boss saw your posts on this very thread she got the idea!
All being well we shouldn't have any problems, the start date is 31/10/11, so watch the thread for my ranting that week.
To be honest, we do need a new kitchen, I fitted this one 20 years ago. We can afford to get somebody to do it for us now so...

The horror story involves Beetlejuice turning up to fit it, then coming down the following morning to find the kitchen back to how it was before he started...

I have no heating, and no hot water. Again.
We seem to have yet another leak in the system somewhere. I have called the man, he will get back to me.
This could cost me my trip to Colombia .

Everything happens for a reason, but it is unreasonable to assume what the reason is, eg the reason for this posting is:
I'm trying to be helpful or I'm bored or I like to hone my typing skills.
Hope the reason for your problem is nothing serious/expensive Gwyn

I'll add my tale of woe
Went to get the car out of the garage [ now this is a shoe horn job - car has to be tight in on nearside so I can open the drivers door and get in , passengers get in once car is out ]
Fired up Freda - double bleep and various lights stay on . Switched off - left for a bit - and the same happened
Phoned garage and now awaiting the recovery trailer and vehicle
This is going to be nasty expensive

That is if the cassowary doesn't get you first - they are supposed to be the world's most dangerous birds.
