Surprisingly Stefan, I do have a long bow, as well as a modern recurve.
I haven't shot (note 'shot', you shoot a bow) for a while now. injury and work tend to get in the way. I should get rid of them to fund a new climbing rope, or K-5, or...

Went through all that last Tuesday here. About to brave the water and take in all the garden furniture before the roof blows off the house.
Today is just a bit blowy, but still enough to make a walk in the woods exciting. Last week it was plain foolhardy. Didn't stop this fool though .

I think Ken is trying to stop his furniture ending up in Edinburgh .Ooo far too early to put the garden furniture into hibernation, got at least another three weeks use, possibly more if October is mild
I went for my afternoon walk through the mud in the woods. I needed a hard hat really with all the acorns being blown down - they hurt!
More excitingly just a couple of seconds after I had walked past a huge branch came down from a tree right across the path .
That got the old adrenalin going I can tell you. The dog wasn't too impressed either.

Talking of dogs, Gwynn, Glen passed his Guide Dog assessment with flying colours and is going to Forfar for training at the end of October. They've asked us if we would take another puppy now and have two for four or six weeks

Oh well done Ken and Glen, that is brilliant news!
Go on you know you want to do it all again. It will ease the pain when Glen goes.
