Photography can be dangerous...
I fell down part of the Claerwen valley today and now my left ankle doesn't work properly. Don't think it's broken or dislocated as I can walk on it and it bends ok, just very sore!
Luckily I had an ME Super in my hand worth about £20 rather than anything more desirable. It seems unaffected. I very nearly took my best MX and am rather glad I didn't.

Luckily no, given it involved me lying flat on my back and swearing with great enthusiasm for the 5mins or so it took for my leg to stop hurting and for me to stop feeling sick. Wasn't really in a terribly coherent state for a while there!

Matt - get it checked anyway. It is probably just a bad sprain but you could have broken something. Meanwhile Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation are the way to go.
Trust me I'm an expert on duff ankles .
It can take up to 3 months to fully recover from a bad sprain as I am finding out to my cost. My left ankle is fine again, but the right one is still painful.

I doubt I can have broken anything as it has the normal range of movement and I can put my full weight on it without pain now. It's a bit sore when walking but I'm putting that down to pulled muscles. It feels as if I've walked a very long way on that leg but not the other!

You're ahead of me on the Nesbos Tony - I have only read two so far. I have the third one on the e-reader so I'll move on to that as soon as I'm done with Keef - which shouldn't be long as I keep skipping great chinks. Not as impressed with it as I had expected to be based on the reviews.
Also have another Indridason lined up and the new Kathy Reichs. Now to find time to read them all .

Lewis Hamilton - Formula 1 GP racer par excellence.
Al Onslow - Spanish Ferrari steerer with bad attitude.
Just back from a short walk in the woods - picked loads of damsons - back tomorrow with an Asda bag.

Leaves are falling here too TT - along with even more rain. Where the heck does all this rain come from? The wettest summer on record here, and one of the coldest too - a cosy 14C again today.
